Money, work + happiness

Think about what you spend your money on. For sure, you’ll use some of it on things you need like mortgage, groceries, utilities, etc. But consider what ELSE you use it for. A lot of us spend our extra money on things that will make us happy.

And there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s good to be happy! In these moments, we may think, “ah, this is the life! If only I could bottle up this moment and make it last forever!”

We’ll spend our time and energy at a job that’s just “fine” or at one that we fully don’t like. And we stay there because it gives us the money that we use to bring us happiness.

But what if your JOB made you happy?

How would it change your mood and your energy throughout the day? How would it affect the way you showed up in your closest relationships? How might it change your motivation for working out, eating well and taking care of yourself?

How much more ENERGY would you have for doing even MORE things that made you happy with the people you love? And how might that create a snowball effect of more energy and happiness in your life?

What if you cut out the middleman of working a job that you don’t enjoy, just to bring you the money that will help you buy happiness? What if you went directly to the source of happiness by doing work that fulfills you and lights you up? How would THAT change your life?

Just wondering :)
