So you have some new-found time on your hands. Now what?

First and foremost, I hope this message finds you and your loved ones well.

I don’t know what it’s like in your corner of the world, but It’s eerily quiet here in Carlsbad, CA.

The traffic’s basically nonexistent and except for the grocery store, my regular hangouts are pretty deserted.

During this time of social distancing, you may be working from home and having some extra time on your hands.

Normally, we have so much on our plates that we can barely pick our heads up and see what else is out there. We don’t have time to do the things we love. And in some instances, we may not even remember WHAT we enjoy anymore!

Why not use this time to change that?

Working some pleasure into your day not only helps counteract the uneasiness you may be feeling, but it can also plant a seed for more good things to come.

What is it that you LOVE but never get around to doing?

Is there a book you’ve been wanting to read? Have you been wanting to take more walks? Catch-up with an old friend? Identify what would feel good and DO IT.

(Personally, I’ll be baking this lemon-spice cake.)

Have you been fantasizing about trying something new? Go ahead and explore what excites you.

Find someone who does what you’re curious about and make a connection with them. Sign up for a class or an event that you feel drawn to. Have a virtual coffee with me to brainstorm how you can move forward with something that's been on your mind.

Use this time to reconnect to yourself. Start meditating, writing and dreaming. And no matter what, take good care of yourself and stay well!
