Remember why you started, and then start again
Beach walks feed my soul. There’s something about being near the ocean that makes me feel so soothed and connected to myself.
In the beginning of this year, I had decided that one of the things I needed to help me be my best self, was to take two beach walks a week.
I was pretty good about keeping up with this at first. But lately, I’ve fallen off track. The time has come for me to recommit to the sea.
Life can be a series of identifying what’s in our best interest, weaving these activities into our lives, letting these habits slip, and then refocusing on them.
The key is in remembering why this thing was so important to us in the first place. Why did you want it in your life? Is that still true? And if so, just work it back in.
Don’t beat yourself up for putting it down. Just pick it up again, and keep going.
