Your needs don't go away.
If you're anything like me, it can be very easy to put your needs and desires last. Oftentimes, I find myself making compromises for the benefit of another, unless it's something on which I really, really can't bend. Does this sound familiar?
However when you deprive yourself of what you need, you're going against your intuition, which makes it harder for you to access it when you need some inner-wisdom.
Not having your needs met creates stress and fatigue as you try to find work-arounds. And as you may have noticed, sources of stress in one area of your life tend to bleed into other areas, and deplete your overall levels of energy and happiness.
